General Information About Our Association

PURPOSE

The purpose of the El Dorado Wine Grape Growers Association is to promote premium wine grape growing and the wine grape industry in the El Dorado County.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is available to anyone who grows wine grapes commercially, or who is in the process of planning and developing a commercial vineyard, in the El Dorado viticultural appellation.

EDWGGA ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

MEETING DATES

Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Building at 130 Placerville Drive in Placerville. Occasionally meetings are held in conjunction with summer field trips to various vineyards and wineries. A meeting is usually skipped during the harvest season.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

The annual membership dues for producing vineyards are $75.00. This includes a listing on our website, which contains a page of grapes available for commercial wine grape buyers and home winemakers. Membership dues for vineyards not yet in production are $45.00 annually. All members are entitled to a listing on our website. Ten dollars of your annual membership dues is donated to the American Vineyard Foundation in support of their research projects on diseases of the grapevine.
