March 15 EDWGGA Meeting in Somerset - Nutrient Management Techniques for Grape Growers

The EDWGGA Grower Meeting postponed in February has been rescheduled for March 15 at Skinner Vineyards & Winery located at 8054 Fairplay Road, Somerset. Save the date to join us for a discussion with Brent Huston PCA of Wilbur-Ellis Agribusiness. Brent will speak about critical cultural practices such as: identifying the signs and symptoms of common grape deficiencies and toxicities; how and when to sample soil and tissue for analysis; and proper timing and technique for fertilizing. Bring your experiences and questions for Brent. There is no charge to attend. Check-in and social time begin at 6:00pm followed by announcements and the discussion at 6:30pm. Bring your questions! Growers and guests are invited to bring a bottle of wine to share. We hope to see you there. About Brent: He was born and raised in El Dorado County. His family is still farming stone and pome fruit. After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Plant Science, Brent worked as an Equipment Supervisor for Delicato Family Vineyards in King City. In 2018, he joined Wilbur Ellis as a sales agronomist and has assisted a variety of growers with different crops including almonds, rice, and walnuts. Brent’s wife Stephanie is a fifth-grade teacher. They enjoy time together relaxing on the beach at Donner Lake with their golden retriever, Bo. In his spare time, Brent can also be found golfing and fishing.
